Programme

Durante le lezioni individuali si esamineranno sia gli aspetti tecnici del Traversiere (relazione tra corpo e strumento, suono, intonazione ed articolazione), sia quelli musicali (stili, fonti, trattati).
Il programma è libero e prevede l’utilizzo di flauti sia a 415 che ad un altro diapason (flauto classico con o senza chiavi a 430, flauto romantico a 438, Quantz a 392, Hotteterre a 387 ecc..)

The teacher

After finishing his studies in modern flute in 1999 he was admitted to the “Koninklijk Conservatorium” in Brussels where he studied baroque and classical flute with Barthold Kuijken, Marc Hantai and Frank Theuns and where he graduated “with distinction” in 2004.

He plays with some of the most important orchestras specialized on historical instruments as a soloist and as a first part: Gli Incogniti (A.Beyer), Les Talens Lyriques (C. Rousset), Capella Cracoviensis (J.T. Adamus), Accademia Bizantina (O. Dantone), just to name a few.

He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Decca, Sony, Naive, Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Outhere-Music, Zig Zag Territoires, Dinamic, etc ..

He is one of the founders of Accademia Ottoboni. The CD dedicated to the music of L. Boccherini and published by Outhere-Music was awarded, among other prizes, the Diapason d’Or as the best recording of the year (2015) in the category “Baroque Instrumental”.

He currently teaches historical flutes at the Conservatory of Cosenza.
