Urbino Musica Antica 2022
Period: 23th - 30th July
The program of the course will be based on the baroque sonatas repertoire as based on the level of the pupils. There will be sessions dedicated to daily studying fingering and breathing technique.
A part of the course will be dedicated to reed making with both modern and historical technique.
Based on the number of pupils there will be time for bassoon ensemble sessions with 3 to 5 bassoons playing the concerti for 3-5 flute by Boismortier adapted for bassoons.
Principal bassoon of “Concentus Musicus Wien” and founder member of “Ensemble Zefiro” Alberto Grazzi has been working in the early music field for the last forty years as freelance and member of the main European. Alberto has been principal bassoon with “The English Concert” from 1990 to 2020 and has been member of the early “Il Giardino Armonico”. He has been member of Hesperion XX, “La Cappella Real” and “Les Concerts des Nations” conducted by Jordi Savall.
Alberto Grazzi has been a reference for a generation of young bassoonist as performer and teacher.
His has been tutor at the European Community Baroque Orchestra” courses and taught at the “Civica Scuola di Musica” in Milan and the Conservatorio E.F. Dall’Abaco in Verona.
His recording as soloist include Fasch and Vivaldi concertos and the K191 Mozart concerto with “Ensemble Zefiro” and “The English Concert”.
From 2021 Alberto Grazzi teaches at the G.Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
